Charmaine is pursuing a major in Journalism at the University of Miami, having commenced her studies at the School of Communications in the fall of 2023. 

Charmaine Mukurazhizha, born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe, is the daughter of Edna and Lesley Mukurazhizha. She has four siblings, Rufaro, Ruvarashe, Esther, and Hannah. 

Her journey into the field of journalism began at the age of 17, writing about the women in Zimbabwe who were going unnoticed and uncelebrated. This motivated Charmaine to take action by publishing a book titled “Book of Successful Zimbabwean Women,” collectively she has profiled over 150 women in Zimbabwe, shedding light on their remarkable accomplishments.

 Beyond her academic and literary pursuits, Charmaine has a deep passion for sports, particularly golf, and she is also an admirer of the arts. Her love for travel has taken her everywhere, and she possesses an insatiable appetite for flavorful cuisine.
