The Christmas lighting ceremony unfolded seamlessly, surpassing my expectations as it concluded earlier than the advertised 8:30 PM time on the flier.

Despite an initial setback of heavy rain before the event, diligent efforts were made to clear water off the stage, ensuring its functionality for the dancers and performers.

Upon arrival, noticeable preparations were underway to dry the stage and designated VIP areas, successfully completed just in time for the event’s scheduled commencement at 5:30 PM.

Juggling between my phone and computer for coverage, initial connectivity issues arose due to the high volume of people attempting to access the Wi-Fi simultaneously.

Uploading pictures on Mastodon proved more time-consuming than anticipated. The signal posed the most significant challenge, necessitating unforeseen Wi-Fi logins and even relying on a helpful individual’s hotspot to execute the event.

Despite these hurdles, the overall execution was phenomenal. However, the real-time pressure of five-minute posts presented difficulties in revisiting and editing content.

Particularly rewarding were posts featuring images, emphasizing the vivid storytelling capability of mobile journalism.

Reflecting on the experience, mobile journalism’s excitement lies not only in verbal descriptions but also in the vivid enhancement of events through compelling visuals.
